Introduction / History

The small Dair tribe lives only in southern Sudan. They are defined by a moribund language by the same name that is being replaced by Sudanese Arabic. Living in the Nuba Mountains, they are one of the Nuba tribes.

What Are Their Lives Like?

Dairs have tremendous respect for their elders. Decisions are made by consensus. Family leaders arrange marriages for young adults.

What Are Their Beliefs?

Dairs are entirely Sunni Muslim, but they blend in traditional beliefs.

What Are Their Needs?

Dairs are entirely Muslim, and their language is dying out. How will they hear the life-changing gospel?

Prayer Points

Pray for the Lord to miraculously transform the hearts of Dair family elders, giving them the willingness to seek and find Christ no matter what happens.
Pray for the Holy Spirit to draw entire Dair families into fellowship with the Savior.
Pray for Dair disciples to make more disciples.
